Site information
Privacy
This page explains how this informational website handles personal information. The site presents the Community Journalism Workshop and does not include an account area, registration form, payment system or advertising tracker.
Information you choose to send
If you contact the programme team by email, your email service and the receiving email service process your address, message and any information you include. That information should be used only to answer the enquiry, organize workshop communications, maintain necessary records or meet a legal obligation.
Please do not send confidential source material or sensitive personal information through a general programme enquiry.
Basic website records
A hosting provider may create standard technical logs when a page is requested. These can include an IP address, request time, requested file, browser information and error details. Such records support security, reliability and troubleshooting. This website does not use those records to build advertising profiles.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set analytics, advertising or preference cookies through its own pages. It does not load third-party fonts, videos, maps, analytics scripts or social-media widgets. If the site’s operation changes, this notice should be updated before new tracking or data collection begins.
Links and email applications
Selecting an email link opens the email application configured on your device. That application operates under its own privacy terms. If this site later links to another website, the other site’s privacy practices will apply after you leave this one.
Retention and safeguards
Enquiry information should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for the communication, workshop administration, dispute prevention or applicable recordkeeping. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards should be used, but no email or online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask about personal information you previously sent, request a correction or ask whether it can be deleted. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate administrative records. Privacy rights and complaint routes can vary by Canadian jurisdiction.
